Ashbourne College is a private independent sixth form college based in Kensington, London. We offer both A level and GCSE education. Our strengths are focused towards;
Personal attention - each student has a personal tutor to help guide them through university application process and improve academic performance. We also offer a high allocation of contact hours per subject and students are taught within small class sizes.
Long serving and highly qualified staff the majority of our staff have taught at Ashbourne for at least three years.
Wide variety of subject choices and any combination permitted we offer over 30 different subjects at A level with any combination permitted.
Multi-cultural environment approximately 50% of our students are from overseas and 50% from the UK, with over 30 different nationalities.
Location - wonderfully located in Kensington, near to Kensington Gardens and the Royal Albert Hall.
Extra Curricular Activities this year students had the opportunity to take part in the following events and clubs: The College Revue, ice-skating, go-karting, chess club, drama club, music club, college newspaper, European trip to Madrid, several plays for drama students, a trip to Stratford-upon-Avon for English Literature students, a trip to Oxford for GCSE Classics students, two university visits (Nottingham and Kings), street dance, and a trip to the Bodyworlds exhibition for GCSE Science and A level Biology students.
Selective Each enquiry to Ashbourne is initially screened. Applicants that satisfy our selection criteria will be invited for an interview, which shall either be conducted face to face or via telephone.
Informal but disciplined - Students refer to their teachers by their first names and there is no school uniform. However, emails are sent each day to parents (or the appropriate contact) when a student either misses a class, is late or has not completed their homework on that day and parents receive full, written reports every half term to keep them up to date with progress.
