Kingswood College at Scarisbrick Hall lies between Southport & Ormskirk in 50 acres of wooded countryside, combining the Gothic splendour of the Pugin designed hall with modern teaching facilities. The site has self contained Infant, Junior & Senior Schools as well as Little Gems which provides care for children of pre-school age. Specialist rooms include science laboratories, ICT Suites, art, pottery, music rooms with computerised equipment and Home Economics suites. There are also Junior laboratories and an attractive chapel. The school has a number of awards with include the Sports' Council Active Mark Gold, The Basic Skills Quality Mark for literacy and numeracy, the Arts' Council Artsmark for the arts, the Lancashire Healthy Schools award and Crested for the quality of teaching in its Support Learning Centre for dyslexic pupils.
Kingswood prides itself on its care of the individual pupil and for nurturing a happy friendly environment, a strong disciplinary, moral code and good academic standards. Small teaching groups meet the academic and pastoral needs of the individual pupils.

Entrance Exams for the Senior School are sat in the January before the September intake, and consist of English, Maths, Science and VerbalReasoning Papers. Entry into any other part of the school is by academic assessment.
