Long Close enjoys a large site with excellent facilities including a swimming pool and specialist DT, Art, ICT and science provision. A programme of extensive development and further improvement of facilities has recently begun.
From nursery, through to preparing both boys and girls for 11+ entry to both independent and local grammar schools, as well as providing the opportunity to transfer at 13+, Long Close ensures small classes and specialist teaching.
The school offers its pupils the opportunity to enjoy numerous extra-curricular activities and residential trips as well as providing a high quality broad and balanced curriculum. Long Close was recently inspected and was highly praised for the individual care and attention given to pupils and its happy and friendly atmosphere.
There is an annual scholarship open to prospective Year 3 children, including those already in our Year 2.
