The range of academic ability at Harrow is from good to excellent. At the top we take a large number of very bright pupils and our record of admissions to Oxford and Cambridge and top universities in America is good. We also take pupils who score little more than 55% at Common Entrance; nevertheless, virtually all such pupils go on to achieve good A levels and a university place as well as achieving outstanding results in other areas of School life, notably music, drama and sport. Whatever their level of ability, Harrow inspires boys to develop their talents and reach for excellence in everything they do.
But getting pupils through exams is not the most important thing about education. As we have done for centuries, Harrow prepares pupils for a life of leadership, service and personal fulfilment.
